The Welcome Event for the new students of the Postgraduate Program in Geographic Information Systems occurred on Saturday, October 14, 2023. During this gathering, both students, professors and members of the coordinating committee had the opportunity to introduce themselves, marking the commencement of a promising academic year.

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all who graced the occasion with their presence, with special acknowledgment to the President of the Faculty of Geology and Geoenvironment of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Professor Assimina Antonarakou, the Vice President of the Postgraduate Program Professor Evelpidou Niki, the Postgraduate Program Coordinating Committee, including Professor Haralambos Kranis, and our esteemed Professors.

We reiterate our unwavering commitment to our educational mission, which entails providing profound insights into geospatial data and the utilization of cutting-edge technologies to enhance data management, modeling, and visualization. Furthermore, we pledge to continue providing comprehensive support to our students throughout their academic journey as we traverse this shared path.
